Some of the Axis of Evil Regarding Climate Policies

Since about 2009 I have given talks and presentations, did radio “Energy Fact Minutes” and written numerous articles on anti-American climate policies and the war on coal. I have been curious for literally two decades of why are so many U.S. politicians and influential people so against conventional energy? From my perspective, of having a solid understanding of the potential sources of primary energy, the opposition to coal, oil, gas and yes, even nuclear, is anti-American. So, why has this come to be?

It has just been recently discovered that yes, the destruction of American energy has been a policy of many in the Democrat Party. The Climate Policies of Al Gore, John Kerry, Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Markey and many more (D) misguided politicians, and to be fair, some (R) politicians, such as the S.C. Legislature.

The actions to implement Net-Zero policies appear to be intentionally planned to cause a deliberate weakening of America. I knew these politicians are not stupid people but wondered why would they deliberately ruin our country? Well, news reports of the true motivations are starting to seep out and get noticed.

Demonization of Coal, Why? Who?

The Democrats, Leftist NGOs and special interests have clearly supported polices of America last, China First. This post is short to simply list a number of references to show the advocates of China First, America Last energy policy interests and influence.

President Obama attempted to kill coal with the weaponization of the EPA and the creation of the Endangerment Finding. I underestimated Obama and he successfully killed over 100 new coal plants that were in the design/construction pipeline. The damage Obama started has metastasized to create a true energy crisis that will begin to show the harm done next winter, if not sooner. Now, an update on the Endangerment Finding. It has NOT been repealed or vacated yet. And in my analysis, about 95% of the public has been indoctrinated that coal is Bad, wind and solar are good. Long story shortened: America will likely suffer numerous Blackouts before public policy on building new coal plants can be changed.

Conclusions

1. The enemies of American energy have infiltrated our government and destructive policies have been implemented. These policies, including the EPA Endangerment Finding will be difficult to reverse. The terms Deep State and Bureaucratic SWAMP come to mind.
2. A major public educational or PR campaign needs to begin to improve the public understanding of the basics of energy and electricity generation
3. The needed new electricity generation from reliable, 24/7 Dispatchable generation will be difficult to get permitted, manufactured and constructed when it is needed before 2030, due to federal Regulations, Lawfare funded by wealthy and powerful NGOs and misguided Billionaires such as Bloomberg, Bezos, Steyer and others and Deep State Bureaucrats
4. America’s Supply-Chain must be restored. This is huge and it includes training of millions of talented engineers, technicians and craftsmen, plus increasing the mining, processing of minerals and manufacturing within our borders. Reversing a multi decade De-industrialization that hollowed out America’s industrial capacity
5. Electricity rates will continue to rise and electric reliability will continue to decline as a result of the IRA and “Green New deal” energy policies that forced unreliable, intermittent wind, solar and batteries onto the Grid
